Tom
Galbraith grew up in Phoenix, graduated from Stanford in 1966, and Yale Law School
in 1969. In 1969-70 he worked for DNA Legal Services program on the Navajo Reservation,
four years in a small criminal defense firm, and 24 years in a large Phoenix firm
before joining Meyer Hendricks & Bivens in February 1999. Mr.
Galbraith is a charter member of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and
is listed in Best Lawyers of America. In recent years, his commercial litigation
practice has involved disputes in these areas: securities, class actions, water
rights, legal malpractice, insurance coverage, utilities cooperatives, business
entity dissolutions, employment restrictive covenants, state lands, contract interpretation,
business torts, intellectual property, Indian jurisdiction, public records, open
meeting laws, libel, and nuclear torts. Mr. Galbraith has served as a judge pro
tem for both the Maricopa County Superior Court and Arizona Court of Appeals,
and as an arbitrator. Mr.
Galbraith has written various articles which have appeared in such diverse publications
as Litigation, The Securities Industry Association Newsletter, The Chicago Tribune
Magazine, Arizona Attorney and The Proceeding of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law
Institute. He has participated as a speaker or panelist in numerous state bar
sponsored or sanctioned CLE programs. In
addition to his litigation practice in state and federal courts, Mr. Galbraith
is a member of the Navajo Nation Bar Association, and litigates in the courts
of the Navajo Nation. Full
